LimRic Heating, Plumbing & Air Ranked Top 10 Best Places to Work in South Carolina

LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air was ranked in the top ten Best Places to Work in South Carolina in 2019. LimRic landed #8 in the small/medium employer category, and was the only plumbing and HVAC company recognized out of all 75 South Carolina employers that made the list.

This annual survey-and-awards program conducts the state’s most thorough, comprehensive selection process to identify the best employers in South Carolina. The 14^th annual list recognized 75 South Carolina companies, including 29 companies in the ‘large employer’ category (250+ employees) and 46 companies in the ‘small/medium employer’ category (15 – 249 employees).

Companies across South Carolina entered the two-part survey process to determine their credibility to be named to this prestigious list. The first part consisted of evaluating company workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air operates with a sense of LimRic Pride, which is demonstrated through the company’s commitment to its customers, community and employees. “We are genuinely invested in our employees’ success and happiness, and we aim to provide each individual with every opportunity to further their career, education and personal goals,” added Miles.

LimRic strives to activate and instill LimRic Pride in its employees in countless ways. Each month the company hosts a luncheon where “The Dullie” is awarded to an employee who exudes positivity. Employees are provided with all-expenses-paid conferences and certification courses to continue their career education, as well as a fruitful career path with advancement, growth opportunities and bonuses.

LimRic also offers an apprenticeship program for people that want to start their career in plumbing and HVAC. In this three-month program, employees are given a hands-on learning experience in the LimRic classroom where they are taught all of the necessary trade and communication skills and also shadow fellow LimRic technicians in the field. At the end of the program they receive top trade certification as well as a full-time career opportunity at LimRic.

The plumbing and HVAC industry can be physically demanding at times and requires time on the road traveling to assist customers in their time of need. So LimRic aims to keep employees happy, healthy and not hungry. Breakfasts are provided on a weekly basis, lunches are regularly catered, work trucks are stocked with water, Gatorade and snacks, and meals are even delivered to employees that are working in the field.

Because LimRic operates under a family-oriented philosophy, the team goes to great lengths to ensure his employees feel appreciated. The company hosts team outings that span from paintball games to manicures at the salon, employee and family picnics (where the little ones always receive a gift), ticket giveaways to sporting events, movies and concerts, and gift cards to favorite shops and restaurants. Employees are also provided with opportunities outside of the workplace to volunteer and be active in the community, while the company donates to causes that employees are passionate about.
